It wasn't very long after I started streaming that I started hosting Shell Challenges. There's been one nearly every month that I've been streaming. Then, when I migrated my website in October 2023, I decided that I wanted to keep a full record of all my shell challenges... starting from the very beginning.. so here is where they start.
At the very start, these were just "normal" shell challenges... but by "One of Each" .. which was, technically, just a side challenge - I had started toying around with the brain-teaser idea. Very soon after, it became a trademark part of my shell challenges. Anyway, enjoy this trip down memory lane!!
Reminder: ANY shell of mine that you complete and I tour on stream will get you 5 bonus Daily Teas (currency used for getting real stickers in the mail!). I tour any shell of mine for free on any stream day that I'm playing Sims 4!

IT Shell Challenge - Download
Rules: Don't touch EXISTING external walls or change them to half walls or fences, but wall height CAN be changed. Do not delete existing floor pieces, but feel free to add more floor tiles or decks, stairs, pools, fountains, fences, half walls, and an interior floorplan. No Cc! 2020 Advent Manor - Download
Rules: No changing the floorplan or outside shell of house. (terrain and landscaping is fine) Starting Dec 1, furnish one room per day until Dec 25. (There are 25 rooms not including the kitchen pantry.) No pack or budget restrictions, and using different fences or stairs inside is ok. Floors, walls, and interior colors are your choice. Rules: Foundations and terrain work ok, adding platforms ok, removing them not ok. Add roofing, windows, and an interior floorplan. Leave outside walls alone, but adding fences or halfwalls ok. Adding additional buildings NOT connected to shell ok, and basements are allowed. Feel free to use a different lot. NO CC or pack restrictions. One of Each Shell - Download
An advanced shell challenge. Standard shell rules with a major twist: you can only use each item ONCE. That means any item - column, window, door, chair, toilet, etc. Whether you then go for a color explosion or actually try to make a cohesive, matching house is up to you. Due February 13th by 4PM when I will stream tours on my twitch (IllusoryThrall). Giving extra time for this one, because it's not going to be an easy challenge. Enjoy! Rules: Your job is to put Humpty back together again! These pieces can be rotated, put on any level (including basements), & either stuck together or apart - but you must use all! Don't touch EXISTING walls or change them to half walls, fences, or spandrels - but wall height CAN be changed. Do not delete existing floor pieces or add new ones. Feel free to add stairs, pools, fountains, fences, half walls, spandrels, platforms, & an interior floorplan. No Cc, no pack restrictions. #thrallshell3
Thrall Shell 4 - Moving Walls Shell - Download
These 3 wall shapes must stay together and cannot be changed. But you can move them or add to them to your heart's content. The resulting build must be a minimum of 2 stories, and the wall shapes MUST be visible somewhere in the build. Suggestion: make these walls into rooms if you're going to be doing a lot of moving them around. And yes, the 2-story wall piece must stay together on BOTH floors. Also: this does not have to be a residential lot! #thrallshell4
Fix Me Please - Junk House Download - Junk House 2.0 Download
A once beautiful house that was abandoned and fell into disrepair. Ready to be cleaned up and turned into a real house. Place with #moo please. Designed for my OneSim Challenge. Added mice, cobwebs, cracks and cacti. Also, fixed the roof interior with glass floors so it looks like beams.. #onesim
Thrall Shell 5 - Half-and-Half Shell - Download
Do change window, door, fence, spandrel & stair types & colors, wall height & foundations. Do not remove walls, fences, stairs, and half walls or change what they are. For an easier challenge, feel free to change the interior floorplan. Roof and chimney should stay, as well, but can change colors and trim (and type of chimney). Wood floor must stay as an outdoor deck (but flooring can be changed), everything else provided is interior floor. No CC or pack restrictions. #thrallshell5 Due: July 7

Thrall Shell 6 - My Best Friend's Shell - Download
A "Real Life" Renovation: Change styles, colors, fences, halfwalls, or spandrels, knock out walls, move or change doors and windows, etc. Do not change exterior walls or add a basement. (Pool would be ok). Do remember this is real life - roof should remain largely the same, and physics and load bearing walls exist. Stairs, decks, and platforms should also remain. Don't forget landscaping! Your Goal: Make this house ready for modern life and contemporary styles. #thrallshell6 Due August 4th.
The Pick-Nic Basket - Download
#picknicbasket - Designed as a choose your own size shell. The only piece you MUST use is the rounded deck, but it can be merged with other pieces so long as the outside rounded edge is still clearly visible. Your prompt: Build a home for picnicking with a large deck area (covered or not) outside. Choose at least 6 rooms from the given 25 (plus deck), & build a home or venue. Adding walls & changing to spandrel fence or half wall is ok. Must include a water feature. Tours: Aug 14
Thrall Shell 7 - Roll The Dice - Download
See the comments for your dice rolling directions! The rest of the rules: No changing exterior walls or foundations, and no basements. Add interior floorplans to fit your theme and requirements. Feel free to add decks, pools, roofing, windows, doors & and landscaping. Must use some type of chimney and have at least one fireplace. No CC or pack restrictions. May use any lot size. Upload using #thrallshell7 Due by Wednesday, September 1st for full tours on my twitch channel.
Roll instructions: 8 sided die for theme: 1 - victorian/gothic; 2 - craftsman/mission, 3 - mid-century/retro, 4 - modern/contemporary 5- tudor, 6- boho, 7 - island/bungalow 8 - ranch/farm

Thrall Shell 8 - Spooky Season Shell - Download
DO NOT: move walls, floors, doors, fences, stairs, roofs or spandrels, or use CC. The wooden floors are outside decks and must stay outside (but changing the flooring is fine). All other floors are interior. DO: change colors, styles, heights. Add or remove foundations or basements, finish the build with walls, floors, roofs, windows, doors, and or more decks!
