Another day in the Judd's household - another hectic breakfast. And Jaz was happily in the middle of it, chatting about school with Penny and Wendy.

After breakfast, everyone scattered to finish getting ready for school, including Jaz. Then, they all scrambled for the bus, and Wendy looked around at the mess leftover from breakfast. With a sigh, she quickly rinsed the dishes, and put them all in the dishwasher to run.

She then headed off to figure out what little Jimmy was up to. He was playing quietly in his room, so she offered to watch a kids film with him. Delighted, he followed Wendy to the Living Room, and the two chatted amiably over the sounds of the Kid's Channel.

From Jimmy's point of view, Wendy might as well be his Mom. He'd been in foster care so long that he had no memory of it being any different. In fact, Wendy and Matt had already started proceedings to try to adopt him (although Jimmy didn't know this yet...) There hadn't been any fuss from his delinquent mother, and since nobody knew who is father was, there wasn't an issue there, either.

Wendy heard a fuss in the kitchen, and left Jimmy for a moment to see what the matter was. Of course, it was the dishwasher, spewing soap bubbles all over the floor. After getting it shut off, and cleaning up the mess, she went to find Jimmy again... and found the TV playing to an empty room.

Finally, she located him outside, making a mess with the paints he had somehow gotten into. Wendy scolded the toddler, took him upstairs to put him down for his nap, and went to get a mop to take care of it.

After arriving home, and everyone sitting down to finish their homework, Jaz again headed off to find a secluded area to call to check on their brothers. It was Thursday, after all, and they'd said they would check in weekly. Jaz really wanted to try to keep the family close, even though they were spread all over Simsdom now.

First, they called Myles. They chatted happily for a while, mostly about school, and Myles' new family. Apparently it was his foster mom's birthday, though, so he had to ring off when their butler got her cake ready. Jaz stared bemusedly at her phone, wondering what a "butler" was... and made a mental note to check the internet to find out what on earth it might be.

Then, Jaz called the twins' foster mother. She was happy to talk at length about all the things the twins got into, and how much they were learning and growing. After the phone call, she even promised to send a photo of them so Jaz could see for herself how happy they were.

Jaz stared sadly at the photo that appeared on their phone, and swallowed a lump in their throat of nostalgia. How they wished things were different, and they could still be with their brothers. Especially the little ones. Brett and Braydon were the ones Jaz missed the most.

Lastly, with a resigned sigh, Jaz tried Phoenix's number. It rang, and rang.. but nobody ever answered.

On the other side of Willow Creek, Phoenix looked at the number on his phone, and quickly pushed the mute button before his foster mother heard and questioned why he wasn't answering.

Feeling quite satisfied with himself for dodging his SISTER, he wandered off to find some more trouble to get into.

Jaz stared at their phone sadly, and hoped that he was just busy. Jaz made another mental note to call him again tomorrow after Violin lessons in the hope that he'd answer then.

Jaz truly didn't understand the animosity that there still seemed to be between them, and it made them so sad. Hearing someone behind them, Jaz put away their phone, and turned to find Jimmy toddling in with his dinner. Figuring that it was almost dinner time, Jaz headed to set the table - anything to get their mind off of Phoenix.

Maybe their next day would be better?

Great to catch up with Jaz! It's such a huge task they're taking on to keep the family together. They can't do it all themselves!

They're sure gonna try, though! Even if Phoenix is being stubborn...

I am a 45 year old American wife, mother, and gamer. I’ve lived in the Midwest most of my life, and enjoy it for the changing seasons. My favorite movie is Labyrinth, my favorite game is Sims 4, and I have tattoos related to both. My favorite colors are purple, red, and green. When I’m not playing games (which is rare) I also enjoy reading and crafting. I’m also an animal lover, and have had many types of pets over the years. Currently, I have a dog named Cassie who is a Jack Russel / Beagle mix and three young fancy rats (all of whom are rescues). I run this Sims 4 Blog where I post screenshots and stories about the different challenges I play. Also here are the Sims 4 challenges I've written, and a place for me to store all the Sims 4 knowledge I've gotten over the years. I am also a Sims 4/variety streamer on Twitch for my mental health, fun, and to meet new people. I have also recently been accepted to the EA Creator Network, which is a dream come true! I look forward to meeting you!
