House 013 Chapter 7 < | > House 014 Chapter 2

First, we get a look at our brand new goals:

House 014 Building Goals:
2 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom home worth at least $40k Simoleons
House 014 Generational Goals:
Complete the Renaissance Sim Aspiration on Journey
Complete a second Aspiration of your choice on Journey
Produce and raise The Heir to the Young Adult life stage
*Note* Heir must take the Kleptomaniac trait before YA stage!

Wow.. that's an interesting goal. And.. as in earlier houses, Journey is the only sim I can control. So, first thing I did was take some pictures of Journey's starting stats.

Then, we'll give her a makeover.. because she really needs one. EA was not kind to her.

Lastly, I roll for lot traits:

Sunny Aspect, Study Spot.. and LEY LINE... ugghh!

Also: I do need to make a note. Because I brought the servo and bench from the last household, I owe 6880 simoleons. I will pay this off before I can take them out of the family inventory. The additional 200 for bringing Pippa will be paid before I can buy anything.

So... here goes nothing. I immediately switch Journey to the Renaissance Sim aspiration, because I know that one is going to be tough. I also make a note that Journey still has her New Year's resolution to do, so I need to find her a significant other ASAP.

And this is how things start. Again. It seems fitting that I'm starting my SimNaNo week with my Drifter story... and that Drifter starts from NOTHING. Well, technically less than nothing, because I still owe like 7k before I can do much of anything. I need to start making money ASAP.

So, with this in mind, Journey gets a job in Writing, and since she had an "A" in school, she starts at level 3..

which means she earned herself a computer. The only problem.. is I can't afford a desk.. and it's raining. EW. Pippa (the dog) is also not impressed with the rain.

Here is the state of our inventory. I can't take anything out until the dog is cared for and I pay off the Servo.

Walking around picking up harvestables - and this cutie walks by. His name is Jun... and His traits aren't half bad. Commence flirting.

Well, ok, so I don't start with flirting, but Cloudgazing is always a good first step. Gotta get to know a guy, right?

Wait.. what??! Um... I had no memory of her being pregnant?! ... Pippa!! You naughty little pupper. The two little boy puppies are Oscar and Buster. Oscar has the best traits, so Buster is the one I sell to have enough to actually feed the other two dogs.

Meanwhile, the romance is officially on. First kiss down, and he's our boyfriend. But.. since I have no place for him to sleep, we'll wait to get married until I have more cash.

A couple days later, this is what the homestead looks like. We're netting a good profit from out 20 strawberries and 20 snapdragons, and harvesting the rest of the area around our home. The only thing I bought before paying off my debts was food for the puppers. Because they wouldn't understand that this is a Drifter Challenge, so sacrifices must be made.

Another day or so, and we're happily under a roof... finally. Oscar looks confused as to how a building just popped up out of the ground, (he's standing there to the left of the house looking befuddled.) I run out of cash before I can afford lights, though, so you'll have to wait to see the indoors.

Everything is paid off now, and we finally have lights. So.. here's our starter home. It doesn't stay looking like this for long, however, because it finally occurs to me that I need an actual double bed for Jun to move in.

It's Love Day.. and this seems like the perfect day to get hitched, so we invite him out to the restaurant (yes, we have more than 1000 so we can travel), and flirt our silly heads off.

I must apologize for the mouse over on Jun.. I honestly had no idea that had happened.. or I would have retaken the photo. Biggest pet peeve of mine. GR. But, yes, the wedding is official. And sadly, his 20k is left in the ether of the sims world. Maybe he gave it to charity.. because it's not allowed in this house.

So, here's the upgrade on the house...

... and Oscar seems to approve. We have everything absolutely necessary for survival. And the next morning is the end of the week (which marks the end of this post)....

But before the night can end, apparently I have to go to Brindleton for Wellness Treats ASAP. I come back with a bunch, and feed all the babies their treats so they can be healthy.

Then, because we're not really tired, we start Training Oscar. Jun seems confused as to why he's left to his own devices.. but he'll get used to it. I need to get him a stereo, because he's a Dance Machine... LOL (why do I always pick Dance Machine uncontrollable hubbies?!) .. Anyway.. There's post #1 for SimNaNo IN THE BANK.
